Why organic? Do pesticides slow-poison us?

What better way to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti? than to honour the Father of the Nation, who in many ways believed in and advocated an organic way of life. Gandhiji once said, “We must be a part of Nature and not apart from Nature”. This year at the “Bhoomi Utsav” we plan to connect with and felicitate local organic farmers who will be part of our Gandhi Jayanthi celebrations.

The Farmers’ market at heart is about honoring and celebrating local economy, borrowed from Gandhiji’s idea of Swadesh, where people make their livelihood and celebrate the gifts of their local natural resources. You will be sharing their gifts in this one of a kind Santhe, an initiative brought forth by Bhoomi to bridge the gap between the organic producer and the conscious consumer.

Organisers: Bhoomi College, an NGO focused on building 'Earth Consciousness" and action for sustainable living.
