Photowalk # 5

To All Photography Enthusiasts,

We have successful completed four PhotoWalk sessions, still the hunger for photography is always more... Planned one on 16th Sep 2012 (Sunday), As our night shift folks, asked to have it on Sunday so even they can participate. Lets walk and click together...

Place: Hebbal lake (If u r coming from Mekhri cirlce, towards Airport - its on ur left, and its no Lumbini Garden)
Time: Wake up early, so you don't miss the Golden Hour. Lets meet at 6:45 AM
Theme : To make it more interesting than the usual one...   Lets all meet up in White Shirt/tees and Blue Jeans

The very first question comes in mind, what exactly is a photo walk?
You take yourself and a camera to a designated meeting place to meet up with other photographers, then venture out into an area and snap away! Walk around taking pictures for a couple of hours, then gather at a place, and compare, share, discuss, and have a good time.

Aim: Photography is the main aim of this "walk". Subjects may include architecture, landscape, macro, portraiture (both candid and arranged). There will be learning exercises and also some teaching, if needed.

Is this Photowalk for me?
This Photowalk is for you, if the answer is ‘Yes’ for any of the below questions;
  • Have you recently bought a Camera or DSLR and wondering what to do with it? Still clicking in Auto Mode and getting basic quality images?
  • Are the photographic jargons like Shutter speed, Aperture, ISO and Exposure Metering confusing?
  • Are you planning to buy a camera and looking for some tips and ideas to click better photos?
  • Do you have reasonable knowledge in photography and want to make friends for future photo shoots?

Benefits of joining us on a photo-walk
It's an area that you're already familiar with, being there with a group of creative people can help you see things in ways you hadn't noticed before. Or if it's an area you're unfamiliar with, you can get to know the area with other people who may have lived there all their lives! But the best part (I think) is that you get to meet fellow photographers, make new friends, and have fun!

What do you need to bring?
Yourself and a camera. Doesn't matter what kind. If you want to come with a cell phone, go for it. If you want to show up with a top-of-the-line camera and an assortment of lenses and accessories, Great. Just remember that it is a photo walk, so what you bring with you, you'll be carrying the entire time. Personally, I would recommend bringing fairly minimal gear that's versatile so you don't have to change lenses every five minutes. A bottle of water to walk more…

Fee - No Charges, just carry enough money for parking, entrance, food, etc...

We're looking forward to a have great day of fun, photography, and forming new friendships across...

Birth of Photography

On a day of 1826, French inventor Joseph Nicephore Niepce took the first photograph of the countryside in France with camera obscura.

Below is first image and birth of photography.

Focus it Right !!

Yes its true. Lytro the new technology in photography lets you to change the focus after picture is taken.

The breakthrough is a different type of sensor that captures what are known as light fields — basically, all the light that is moving in all directions in the view of the camera. It gives capabilities you never had in any conventional cameras.

So wondering how it works. Light travels everywhere instead capturing only single plane of light, Lytro captures the light field travelling in every direction at that point . Like every eye sees it normally.

This technology free the use of auto-focus motor as focusing after the image is taken.
